Survivor Sunday
A Project of Stand True and Survivors
The 2009 Survivor Sunday was a success for many young people across America! Rachel from Arizona gave this report about her experience with Survivor Sunday:
Survivor Sunday went wonderful for our group! I was able to give a presentation and use our entire youth group as part of an illustration. Such great things have come from that one Sunday. The very next day we had already planned a silent walk after youth on Wednesday to pray about abortion from many aspects. Students have said they would be willing to give up the fundraiser we had planned to raise money for an all-nighter and replace it with a fundraiser to raise money for pro-life organizations. Two young ladies and myself are beginning a new class geared toward our peers addressing important moral issues of our day, including abortion. These few things are only what we’ve been able to see since Survivor Sunday. There is no telling what else God may have done in the lives of others who heard the presentation! I am so glad that I heard about Survivor Sunday and that my pastors allowed us to participate. It is my hope that next year it will be even bigger and more lives will be impacted with the truth, both at my church and across the nation. Thank you for helping youth receive the opprotunity to share our views on this critical issue!!
Make plans now to participate in the 2010 Survivor Sunday, and let us know if you are participating!
In many churches the youth are called on to take over the service or Sunday school class once a year. We think the Sunday before the anniversary of the decriminalization of abortion would be a great time for your people to share a pro-life message with their church. We believe it is the youth of America who will ultimately turn the hearts of this generation and usher in the end of the abortion holocaust.
Who: Youth groups, Sunday School Classes, College Groups
When: January 17th 2010, the Sunday before the Roe vs. Wade anniversary.
Where: In your church during Sunday service, Sunday school or after service depending on what your church will allow.
Why: This generation has lost over 1/3 of their brothers and sisters to surgical abortion. This generation is losing almost 4,000 members a day. This generation needs to stand up and cry out for their brothers and sisters and be a voice for those who will never have one.
What: There are several ways for you to participate in this event.
- Ask your pastor if you and the rest of the youth can present a pro-life message during church or Sunday school.
- Ask your pastor to preach a pro-life sermon on this day.
- Ask your Sunday School teacher teach a pro-life lesson on this day.
How: Get started here.
